Minutes
- Use fresh water – Always brew with freshly boiled water; re boiled water can make the tea taste flat.
- Measure carefully – Use one teaspoon of tea leaves per cup for the perfect balance of flavour.
- Don’t rush it – Black tea usually needs 3–5 minutes; green tea tastes best in 2–3 minutes.
- Cover while brewing – Keeping your pot or cup covered locks in aroma and flavour.
- Experiment with strength – If your tea is left to brew for too long, it will start to taste bitter, so for a stronger cup, simply add more tea leaves instead.
